چکیده

The objective of the present study was to evaluate influence genotypes two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) – c.78C>T located in growth hormone gene (GH) and c.106C>G receptor (GHR) on individual body weight (IBW) during growing period at 35, 70 90 d age a total 107 weaned Californian breed rabbits. restriction fragments obtained revealed that 74.8% rabbits carrying SNP 52.3% were heterozygous, which indicated moderate level genetic diversity this population. Association analysis based single-gene approach polymorphism GH had significant effect (P<0.05) age. highest IBW (2530.4±66.6 g) observed TT genotype, detected individuals significantly affected by dominance effect. Significant differences between with homozygous CC genotype those heterozygous CG genotype. (2462.0±198.3 additive A nine combined SNPs found study, only four major groups (CT/CC, CC/CG, CT/CG, CT/GG) concerned diplotype analysis. CT/CC CC/CG combinations, CT/GG diplotypes. However, (2447.2±213.8 combinations. coefficient determination for (R2=10.8%) high In conclusion, results suggested GHR could be useful candidate genes improve performance potential application rabbit breeding programmes.

Disulfide linkage of growth hormone (GH) receptors (GHR) reflects GH-induced GHR dimerization. Association of JAK2 with the GHR is enhanced by receptor dimerization.

The growth hormone (GH) receptor (GHR) binds GH in its extracellular domain and transduces activating signals via its cytoplasmic domain. Both GH-induced GHR dimerization and JAK2 tyrosine kinase activation are critical in initiation of GH signaling. We previously described a rapid GH-induced disulfide linkage of GHRs in human IM-9 cells. In this study, three GH-induced phenomena (GHR dimerizat...

Single nucleotide polymorphisms in exon 10 of the chinchilla growth hormone receptor (GHR) gene.

The aim of this study was to detect SNPs in exon 10 of the chinchilla growth hormone receptor gene (GHR) by comparative sequencing. Sixty females of the same breed (Standard) were analysed. Four new SNPs were identified, which cause 3 amino acid substitutions in the intracellular domain of the receptor: G/C at position 135 bp (in relation to the total sequence of exon 10) (gln/his), CAG/AAA at ...

Association study between growth hormone receptor (GHR ) gene polymorphisms and obesity in Korean population

A main target of growth hormone (GH) is adipose tissue in human body. The GH secretion in obesity patients is impaired. It is needless to say that growth hormone receptor (GHR) is necessary in GH hormone signaling. The purpose of the present study is to examine the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and the development of obesity. A total of 211 overweight/obese subjects...
